U.S. stocks gain, U.K. falls as U.KS. election returns arrive

The U.C.L.A. University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) stock market rose 0.7% on Thursday, as investors bought the stock after reports the results of a major U.N. investigation into allegations of human rights abuses in Libya and Syria.

The stock closed down 1.4% on Friday, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0% to 17,917.13.

The S&P 500 index of small-cap stocks rose 0 -0.6% to 1,906.13 while the Nasdaq Composite index of stocks declined 1.2% to 4,973.70.
