BALTIMORE (AP) Odell and Odell.
shoes are sold out.
And no, they’re not on sale for $1.
And that’s not the only way to get them.
A shoe auction site has sold out all 10 pairs of the former Giants quarterback’s shoes.
The auction site, OdellBeckhams.com, says that after posting an item for sale on April 29, Odelly sold out in a matter of hours.
That’s the same day that the New York Times reported that the NFL’s owners had voted to prohibit players from using social media to solicit fans to pay for tickets to games.
The decision was widely condemned as a major blow to the sport.
Odell, the former NFL player, said in a statement he was “surprised” by the auction site’s announcement.
“Unfortunately, I was not able to purchase any of the Odell’s shoes because of the way eBay handles auctions,” he said.
“I was not the one to start this bidding war.
Instead, I am the one who made it happen.”
The auction house, which also sells sneakers and apparel, had no immediate comment.
